Accedo’s Funspot game channel on BT Vision
London, February 14, 2007 – Accedo Broadband, the provider of interactive and on-demand content for IPTV and online consumer electronics, announced today that it will supply its Funspot game channel to BT Vision, BT’s next-generation TV service.

BT Vision customers will be able to play a selection of the most popular games, puzzles and quizzes suitable for the whole family. The selection of Funspot games available will be updated based on demand from BT Vision customers.

Accedo’s CEO Michael Lantz said "BT shares Accedo’s view of future on-demand entertainment, and it’s exciting to start our relationship by launching Funspot, the IPTV game channel. Funspot is already a success on the Microsoft Media Center platform both in UK and internationally, and BT’s usage of the Microsoft IPTV platform gives us great possibilities in rolling out a wide range of attractive games quickly."

Dan Marks, CEO of BT Vision, added: "We're continuously extending our offering so that it is more compelling to a wider range of people. Accedo’s focus on IPTV and proven expertise in this emerging market make it exciting for us to work with them, and we’re delighted to add the Funspot game service to our interactive offering."

BT launched its next-generation television service, BT Vision, in December 2006. Combining the appeal of TV with the interactivity of broadband, and without the need for a compulsory subscription, customers can watch what they want when they want and not be tied to TV schedules. Customers have access to an extensive library of on-demand content via broadband and more than 40 Freeview channels via aerial.

BT Vision has already announced content deals with a range of leading entertainment companies including studios such as: Disney, Dreamworks, Lionsgate, Momentum, Paramount and Universal; music rights owners Eagle Rock, EMI Music UK, i-concerts, MTV, SONY BMG, Warner Music Group and TV content owners BBC Worldwide, Channel 4, Entertainment Rights plc, HIT Entertainment, National Geographic Channel, Nelvana, NBD Television, Turner Broadcasting, Viacom and Wall to Wall Television.

BT Vision Sport has also announced 'near-live' access to 242 FA Premier League matches from the 2007/08 season. It will also offer Setanta’s new sports channel, Setanta Sports, from next summer. This channel will show 46 live FA Premier League games, 60 live Scottish Premier League games, live Nationwide Conference games and other European football Leagues. There will also be access to PGA golf and many other sports.
